Recent News
Food Allergens Database
The first release of the new food allergens database is
now online at: http://www.foodallergens.info/database.html.
The database contains searchable technical information about
plant food allergens. It has been developed by members of
the EU-funded InformAll project (http://www.informall.eu.com),
co-ordinated by IFR. The database provides a free-access,
credible source of information on allergenic food materials
of plant origin.
Version 2 will be available by the end of 2005. It will
also include technical information on allergenic foods from
animals (such as egg, milk etc.). In addition there will
be summaries about each food suitable for a non-technical
readership.
